Pools, pools, pools

If you are like me, you appreciate an amazing pool at a hotel or resort that you may be staying at.  

I often choose to book a swimout suite or a suite that has its’ own private pool for an additional level of luxury.  

Did you know that depending on geographic location, pools may or may not be heated during times of the year when the weather is cooler.  

Swimming in ice cold water is not an ideal situation in my opinion.  

For example if you travel to the Dominican Republic in November, the pools will be very cold and they won’t be heated.  On the other hand if you travel to Mexico at the same time of year, all hotel & resort pools will be heated.

You can also contact a hotel or resort that you are considering and inquire as to whether or not pools are heated.

So if you are a pool person, the next time you are considering a travel destination, be sure to do your research to determine if the pools in the locations you are considering are heated or not!
